Contents insurance extending your cover

Even though our insurance covers many situations, you may need extra special cover – which is why we have our extra covers option.

Accidental damage for all your home contents

Over and above the cover for your TV, hi-fi and video equipment, this protection also includes everything from game consoles to waterbeds.

Cover for your personal possessions

This provides cover for items both when they are in or are used away from the home. It includes mobile phones, watches, handbags and rings. The total value of items covered starts at £3,000, though if you wish to insure individual items over £1,500, all you have to do is call and give us the details.

Caravan cover

If you own a touring caravan, all you need to do is provide us with its age and value, including the fixtures, and furnishings, and you may be eligible for cover.

For caravan contents other than furnishings, utensils and linen (e.g. TVs and audio equipment) can be protected by selecting the personal possessions option above.

Family legal expenses up to £50,000

These days, legal disputes are increasingly common. However, if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself involved in a disagreement with a neighbour, a shop or perhaps the Inland Revenue, then Zurich gives you peace of mind with up to £50,000 cover for certain personal legal actions.
